Courses like Valderrama attract professionals and amateurs alike, so it's no surprise that southern Spain has become continental Europe's hottest golf hub. ~ Golf play at Real Club Sevilla, home to over 10,000 trees, where the challenge is not in the fairly flat, easy-to-walk course, but in the length of some of the holes that climax in slippery and undulating greens with subtle borrows and slopes everywhere, proven to be the undoing of golfers of all standards

~ A flamenco show, a unique and colorful Andalusian art form, involving guitar-playing, singing, clapping and dancing

~ The British colony of Gibraltar, best-known for the eponymous limestone monolith, and boasting a rich natural, cultural and political history, for a guided tour up the Rock of Gibraltar to reach St. Michael’s Cave and the Apes’ Den, home to 160 semi-wild Barbary apes that call Gibraltar home

~ The links at Los Naranjos, in Marbella, famous for its groves and the smell of oranges on the back nine, and considered one of Robert Trent Jones best efforts
